VJSPL Online is currently accepting materials for its August cycle. The due date for submissions is June 7 at 5pm.
VJSPL and VJSPL Online accept submissions through Scholastica and e-mail. To submit via e-mail, please use the buttons below.
VJSPL and VJSPL Online extend offers for publication on a rolling basis. Due to the numerous submissions received, VJSPL and VJSPL Online are unable to respond positively or negatively to every submission.

Publications
VJSPL publishes print material three times per year: spring, summer, and fall. Traditionally, VJSPL publishes articles in print.
Length
VJSPL prefers articles to be around 30,000 words, however this is only a preference and not a requirement.
Content
Pieces are chosen based on their originality in topic and the writing quality.
Timing
VJSPL extends offers for print publication on a rolling basis. Due to the numerous submissions VJSPL receives, VJSPL is unable to respond positively or negatively to every submission.

Please provide a short abstract when submitting a piece.
Publications
VJSPL Online publishes online material three times per year: February, August, and October. VJSPL Online publishes articles, essays, notes, and book reviews written by current UVA Law students, as well as students and professors from other institutions.
Length
There is no strict word count requirement, but pieces under 8,000 words are prioritized.
Content
Pieces are chosen based on their originality in topic and the writing quality.
Timing
February cycle deadline: December 15 at 5pm.
August cycle deadline: June 7 at 5pm.
October cycle deadline: August 15 at 5pm.
