about vjspl
The Virginia Journal of Social Policy & the Law (VJSPL) is one of the nation’s leading journals on public policy. Outside of the journal’s impact in the policymaking process, VJSPL has been cited in numerous federal district courts, over twenty state appellate courts, eight federal courts of appeal, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
As one of Virginia’s most diverse journals, VJSPL is on the cutting edge of the discussion on important issues such as reproductive justice, LGBTQ+ rights, and racial discrimination.
VJSPL prints three issues a year on a diverse array of policy topics including healthcare, education, criminal justice, critical race theory, urban policy, immigration, feminism, and international law.
VJSPL‘s online platform, VJSPL Online, publishes a variety of material– such as essays, student notes, and book reviews– three times per year.
